Boat rental and docks
Camping Union Baskatong/Pourvoirie Chez Rainville rents several types of boats. Whether it’s for fishing, cruising along or exercising, we have a wide choice to offer you. Come and enjoy the joys of cruising on an exceptional body of water. More than 300 square km are navigable and more than 2500 km of sandy banks await you!
In the spring, from mid-May, the cold waters will give anglers a better chance of catching their quota of walleye. Boats and pontoons are usually a little less reserved for this period. If the water level allows it, we start renting the pontoons from the 3rd week of May. As for fishing boats, they are available at all times according to demand during the opening period of the Campground/Outfitter.
In summer, the long days and warm breezes make long trips on the water ideal weather you are alone, with family or friends. This is why the duration of possession is longer in summer. When you rent a pontoon in high season, you can have possession of it for up to 10 hours per rental period with departure at 9:30 am. As for fishing boats, you can keep them up to 23 hours per rental day. If you prefer to benefit from it during your entire stay, we can also accommodate you.
In autumn, in calm weather, the Baskatong becomes a haven of peace where colors of the trees and the tall ships of migratory birds give a feeling of fullness. Great walleye fishing is very often observed during this quieter and definitively magical period.
Finally, if you prefer to bring your own boat, you have the option of renting a dock or paying for the launch to get in and out of your boat. We have the marina with the best access to the lake in all of Baskatong! Please be informed that the water level of the lake fluctuates a lot from May to October. It’s appropriate to navigate using nautical charts and seek advice on the different sectors of the lake.
